CLIENT'S BACKGROUND
The client was a Japan's leading investment financial institution providing multiple financial services such as merchant banking, wholesale investment banking & global market, asset management and wealth management services. It's headquarters is located in Japan while its APAC regional HQ which manages all its branch offices and IT infrastructure and security governance sits in the Singapore office.
OVERVIEW
UnThreats supported with the client's annual IT security audit and assessment. In addition, reviewing of their firewall rules and security hardening to help optimise their performance. A Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT) was conducted against their IT infrastructure to identify possible risks that were lucking in their environment and the respective remediation actions were implemented to fill those gaps.
CONCLUSION
Given a short completion lead time to fulfil an audit timeline, the client was able to pass their audit within 5 months and successfully concluded the project. Besides the large scale of this project that requires the cooperation of client's offices involved in four countries - Singapore, Malaysia, Shanghai and Hong Kong, UnThreats succeeded in helping our client to save 30% of overall project costing.
